Christenson
Construction was established by Walter Christenson in 1947 to build and maintain homes and cottages
on the islands and shoreline of Georgian bay around Carling Township. In 1985
Walters son and foreman, Ken, took over the company and operated it until
2012; then, wanting to focus on his design work, Ken handed the construction
work over to his foreman, Sam Stone, who currently operates, as sole
proprietor, under the name: Christenson Construction 2012.
Particularly interested in projects with ultra-low environmental
impact, making use of both traditional and new materials, methods,
and technologies.
