My name is Kay Brownell, owner of Windows to the North Gallery ...and artist. I have undertaken this Gallery as a productive and proactive response to the high unemployment rate here in the north. It began with my own personal need for employment and has grown exponentially in a very short time. I have always been a lover of the arts. In response to the interests of these women in having a space to showcase and sell their art, I have created Windows to the North Gallery and in doing so I have welcomed the task of the promotion and celebration of these women artists.

Along with the Gallery, we hold classes in our studios in stained glass and glass fusion, pottery, jewellry and Paverpol. Whether you're having a girls weekend and you want to create a moment with your friends or you just want to sign up yourself to learn a new art, Windows to the North is a great place to visit.
